In any given issue of most magazines and publications devoted to sports field construction and maintenance, it's not uncommon to find one or more articles devoted to the subject of drainage. This is not surprising since this is certainly one of the greater challenges facing today's sports surface manager.
Slit drainage is one of these techniques, probably the least known. One could say that it is one the best kept secrets of golf course and sportsfield construction and maintenance.
